WORDING IN THE TEXT

What do the authority wordings mean?

This section explains the wording found in the source; it does not add any new authority to the source text.

Application and signature

Refers to the authority to apply to the relevant institution or sign documents for the specified transaction. The scope of documents and transactions should not be treated as unlimited.

PREPARATION BY TRANSACTION

Check before the transaction

  1. Prepare the subject of the transaction, the institutions and persons concerned and, where available, the supporting documents.

  2. Clarify with the firm which transaction the representation will be limited to and which authority wording is needed.

  3. Prepare your valid identity document and the attorney-in-fact's details; confirm with the notary office or consulate whether additional documents and photographs are required.

  4. If a foreign notary will be involved, clarify the sample text and the certification/translation route for the country concerned with the firm before the transaction.
