Central working model

Based in Antalya; a case-specific way of working that does not depend on geography.

In our working model, built over more than a quarter century, we handle legal strategy, steps taken in different cities and countries, and regular client updates together within a single case management process, without separating one from another.

Strategic management and follow-up responsibility for the matters we take on throughout Türkiye rest with our firm. Local legal assessment and official representation in foreign countries are carried out by an independent lawyer authorized to practice in that country; our firm provides planning, communication and case coordination.

Our working approach

Legal services planned from a single center and carried out with care where the case is located.

Whether a proceeding is heard in another city, a client resides in a foreign country, or a legal transaction is connected to the laws of more than one country, the legal strategy, the division of tasks, deadline management and communication must be planned holistically from a single center.

As Güneş & Güneş Law Firm, we manage all our work from our center in Antalya and assess the legal needs of individuals, companies and institutions connected to different cities and countries within the integrity of the case. Developing the strategy, putting it into practice, monitoring statutory deadlines and keeping the client regularly informed are complementary stages of our way of working.

  1. A Single Strategic Center

We manage the legal framework of the case, the division of tasks within the team, deadline management, review of pleadings and contracts, and client communication directly from our Antalya head office.

  2. Discipline in Deadlines and Documents

We track statutory deadlines, notifications, interim decisions, documents to be submitted and stages that require a decision in a shared record system, and we complete preparations before the relevant step.

  3. On-Site and Verifiable Execution

If a hearing, on-site examination, document collection or official procedure is to take place in another city, we plan in writing in advance the manner of attendance, the documents, the timetable of steps and the reporting arrangements.

  4. Supervision by the Responsible Attorney

Even where we receive local support, we personally retain strategic management of the case, control of the process and responsibility toward the client for following it.

  5. Regular Client Communication

We share important developments, options, risks and matters that require our client’s decision in a clear manner and in the preferred language of communication.

  6. Clear Division of Authority and Responsibility

Local legal assessment and official representation in foreign countries belong to the authorized independent lawyer; our firm carries out planning, communication and case coordination on the client’s behalf.

Central Strategy, Case-by-Case Collaboration

Rather than opening multiple branches, we adopt a central working model in which all cases are managed with the same quality discipline and supervision by the responsible attorney. We directly coordinate on-site steps in the 81 provinces of Türkiye and local representation processes in foreign countries without separating them from the main strategy of the case.

01 · Throughout Türkiye

Litigation, contract management and legal advice in the 81 provinces of Türkiye and their districts.

We draw up a work plan specific to the nature of the case, the competent court or authority, the statutory deadlines and the city where the step is to be taken. We shape the scope of our services according to the actual need, from pre-litigation risk analysis to first-instance proceedings and appellate stages, and from contract negotiations to ongoing corporate advice.

Litigation and Court Proceedings

We handle filing lawsuits or following pending proceedings; preparing responses, defense statements and other submissions; collecting and reviewing evidence; hearing, on-site examination and expert stages; and appeal and cassation proceedings within a strategy specific to the case.

Investigations, Enforcement and Dispute Resolution

We handle criminal investigations and prosecutions, enforcement and debt collection proceedings, administrative applications, and mediation and arbitration processes, according to the scope of the engagement we have taken on, within the same case management discipline.

Contract Management and Ongoing Legal Advice

We provide preventive and ongoing advice to individuals, companies, investors and institutions on contract drafting and negotiation, legal risk assessment, commercial operations, investment, real estate, corporate governance and employment law needs.

On-Site Steps and Coordination Between Cities

We plan physical steps before courts, public prosecutors’ offices, enforcement offices, land registry and trade registry directorates, notaries, municipalities and other official authorities with due regard to statutory deadlines, and we define the scope of the task, the documents, the timetable of steps and the written reporting arrangements clearly from the outset.

We coordinate, manage and supervise every procedural and practical step we carry out in a different city holistically from our Antalya center, without separating it from the main strategy of the case.

We provide legal representation, litigation and legal advice under Turkish law in the legal matters in Türkiye of citizens of the Republic of Türkiye residing in foreign countries, foreign individuals, international investors, foreign-owned companies and foreign law firms.

Individuals and Families

We assess inheritance and its division, family law, matrimonial property regime, real estate, land registry, debt collection, foreigners law, residence and work permits, and Turkish citizenship applications according to the specific features of the case.

Companies and Investors

We handle company formation and operation, commercial contracts, direct investments, employment relationships, collection of receivables, commercial disputes and official permit processes together with the relevant areas of law.

Türkiye-Related Work with Foreign Law Firms

Within the framework of authorization and professional rules, we carry out the legal review and opinions, collection of documents and evidence, applications, lawsuits, official procedures and local representation that a foreign lawyer or law firm needs in Türkiye on behalf of its own client.

International Procedure and Document Formalities

We plan, according to the relevant procedure, the recognition and enforcement of foreign court judgments and arbitral awards in Türkiye, international service of documents, the use of foreign official documents, and translation, notarial or consular certification and apostille requirements.

Holistic Assessment in Cases Connected to More Than One Country

In cases where the parties or the assets are located in different countries, we examine together international jurisdiction, the applicable law, international service of documents, the collection of evidence and documents, and the effects abroad of a decision to be rendered in Türkiye.

At the outset, we separate the direct legal work we will undertake in Türkiye from the steps that must be completed in the foreign country, and we maintain the strategic link between the two processes.

03 · Institutional history and international experience

International legal networks and professional collaborations reaching more than one hundred countries.

By joining international legal networks in the 2010s and the years that followed, we reached a strong foundation of professional communication and collaboration extending to more than one hundred countries. This experience broadened our international legal perspective while also developing our institutional service standards and our vision for the future.

Information Sharing and Professional Communication in Practice

The relationships we built in international legal networks have given us concrete practical experience in direct information sharing, comparative legal assessment and case-by-case coordination with law firms and lawyers in foreign countries. This established basis of communication supports reaching the right counterpart quickly and in an orderly way when a legal need arises in a foreign country.

Türkiye-Related Cases and Cases with a Foreign Element

This institutional experience strengthens the direct representation we provide for the legal needs in Türkiye of foreign individuals and legal entities, and our approach to the processes that our clients in Türkiye need to pursue in foreign countries. A clear division of tasks, secure document flow and communication in a language the client understands are the guiding principles.

Our international professional relationships are based on a model in which, rather than opening branches in foreign countries, coordination is set up case by case, according to the nature of each specific matter, with independent lawyers authorized to practice in that country.

04 · Coordination in foreign countries

Case-by-case coordination on the client’s behalf in legal proceedings in foreign countries.

For the lawsuits, commercial receivables, contracts, investments, inheritance or other legal matters of individuals and companies in Türkiye in foreign countries, we set up, through our international professional relationships, the working arrangement to be carried out with an independent lawyer authorized in that country, and we coordinate it within the agreed framework.

Identifying the Authorized Lawyer and Law Firm

Based on the nature of the dispute, the foreign country and the jurisdiction in which the step is to be carried out, we identify a suitable independent lawyer or law firm. We assess authorization to practice, field of expertise, language of communication and the terms for taking on the work in the context of the specific case.

Scope of Services, Fees and Process Plan

At the start of the process, together with our client, we clarify the scope of local representation, the recommended legal strategy, the limits of tasks and responsibilities, the reporting arrangements, the attorney’s fee and the anticipated local expenses.

Document Flow and Secure Transfer

We plan the preparation and secure transfer of powers of attorney, sworn translations, notarial certification, apostille endorsements and documents serving as evidence, and we take care that document requests are limited to the right party and purpose.

Local Representation, Follow-Up and Transparent Reporting

We regularly convey developments in the case, online meetings, critical dates and next steps that require a decision. We explain our firm’s coordination fee and the foreign lawyer’s fee and local expenses separately.

Division of Duties and Responsibilities

The substantive assessment of the law of the foreign country, and representation and procedural steps before the local court or official authority, are the responsibility of the independent lawyer authorized in that country. Our firm coordinates, on the client’s behalf, communication, strategic planning, document flow and follow-up of developments in the case.

05 · Multilingual legal services

Direct communication in four languages across all our legal services and international coordination.

Direct communication in Turkish, English, German and Russian is a fundamental element of our institutional working model, which covers all the legal representation and legal advisory work we carry out. From the first inquiry until the matter is concluded, we communicate directly with our clients in the language they prefer.

Understanding the Legal Issue and the Options

Our principle is to explain clearly, in a language our client directly understands, legal concepts, required documents, procedural stages, application and filing deadlines, the courses of action available, foreseeable risks and the decisions expected of our client.

Regular Communication and Document Management Throughout the Process

We coordinate communication between the legal steps carried out in Türkiye and our clients or law firms located in foreign countries. We plan online meetings and case updates according to the nature of the matter, and we separately assess the sworn translation, notarial certification and apostille requirements of documents in a foreign language under the procedural rules.

06 · Case management

Traceable case management from application to implementation after the decision.

Regardless of the city or foreign country in which the legal process is conducted, we plan at the start of the work the limits of authority and responsibility, the required documents, statutory deadlines and the arrangements for informing the client. We manage from our center the physical steps carried out in another location, without separating them from the overall legal strategy of the case.

  1. Initial Review

We review the parties, the subject of the dispute, the place of the step, the current stage and the statutory deadlines, and first carry out a conflict-of-interest check.

  2. Strategy and Roadmap

We determine the competent court or authority, the applicable law, the options, the risks and the scope of the task to be undertaken.

  3. Authorization and Scope

At the start of the process, we clarify the power of attorney, the terms of service, the attorney’s fee, the foreseeable expenses and the preparatory documents.

  4. Implementation and Deadline Monitoring

We regularly monitor procedural steps, notifications, hearings, interim decisions, document requests and developments in the case.

  5. Updates and Decision Points

We share in good time and in an understandable way the legal effect of developments, the options and the stages that require our client’s decision.

  6. Implementation After the Decision

Together with our client, we assess the decision rendered, the enforcement and implementation stage, the appeal and cassation remedies, collection and other follow-up steps.

07 · Confidentiality and professional responsibility

Information security, protection of documents and professional responsibility.

Confidentiality and Purpose-Limited Processing

We safeguard the information and documents shared with our firm in accordance with attorney professional secrecy, the rules of professional confidentiality and the principles of the Personal Data Protection Law, and we process them only for legal assessment, the conflict-of-interest check and, after authorization, carrying out the work we have undertaken.

Secure Sharing and Professional Diligence

When information and documents need to be shared with independent colleagues in Türkiye or authorized lawyers in a foreign country, we take into account the strict necessity of the case, the scope of the task and the applicable data protection rules. We use secure sharing channels for identity, passport and special-category documents, and we carry out our work in accordance with the principles of professional diligence and responsibility.

Contact and assessment

Wherever you are, in whichever city or country, let us assess your legal matter together.

You may request a meeting by stating the subject of your legal need, the province or foreign country it is connected to, its current stage, any approaching statutory deadlines and your preferred language of communication. We clarify together, according to your specific case, the scope of your litigation, contract and advisory needs in the 81 provinces of Türkiye or of your request for coordination of a process in foreign countries.

Making initial contact, holding a preliminary meeting or sending documents does not, by itself, mean that the matter has been accepted, that a representation relationship has been established or that the monitoring of statutory deadlines has been undertaken. Legal assessments are made according to the specific circumstances of each case; no definite outcome is promised in advance.
